Welcome to Oodnadatta Aboriginal School

Oodnadatta Aboriginal School is located at Oodnadatta near the western edge of the Simpson Desert in the far north of South Australia. The learning community is built on trust and respect. We believe that education is the cornerstone of the future; teaching and learning are a life long process. High expectations are set for all staff and students. The school aims to provide a balanced curriculum and has developed a specific literacy and numeracy plan.

About us

The remote township of Oodnadatta is situated 200km North East of Coober Pedy. It is approximately 1200km by road from Adelaide, including 200km on unsealed roads.

The Oodnadatta community consists of about 100 people. It has a general store, roadhouse and hotel.
